Toaster fetish

My girlfriend’s father has collected toasters for decades, amassing a very impressive collection of stainless steel classics. He is currently in the process of documenting the variety of unique patterns created on toast by differing toaster heating elements. They are all somehow strangely beautiful.

UPDATE

I believe this gentleman, Dr. Toast, trumps the obsessive compulsive status of my girlfriend’s father’s toaster collection with his collection of Toast Haiku. I really have no explanation for why someone would invest time into writing 15 or 20 individual haikus dedicated to toast, but there are likely many out there who would find my obsession with PCB gifs equally creepy.
